Weibin Shen finished his Audio Engineering Bachelor's Degree from Communication University of China. During college, he worked on concert live recordings closely with Mr. Dakang Li, one of the best renowned traditional Chinese music recordists in China, and has finished a research which proposed a consonance enhancement method for Pipa solo recordings. He has also finished several acoustic simulation programs for evaluating panning and levels of  surround sound recording modes and stereo choir recording methods. With his strong interest in musical signal analyzing and machine learning, he came to GTCMT at fall 2011 and is now doing research on audio chord estimation algorithms.
