Ruofeng Chen studied communication engineering in Beijing University of Posts and Telecommunications. He didn't end up working at a mobile operator, but decided to devote his knowledge in technology to his love in music. He was lucky to be a member of Professor Parag Chordia's research group at Georgia Tech. His daily research focuses on designing machine learning and DSP models to explain the complex patterns in music audio, such as chords, structure and styles. He played classical guitar in his spare time.
