Jagadeeswaran’s research interests are in the areas of Machine Musicianship, Music Information Retrieval and Mobile Music.

On the music side, he is a trained South Indian Classical musician and plays the mridangam (a two-sided barrel drum) and  regularly performs in and around the Atlanta region.

Jagadeeswaran received his Bachelors of Engineering(Hons) in Computer Science from Birla Institute of Technology and Science (BITS), Pilani and spent about 3+ years in Bangalore, India working with Sun Microsystems and Motorola before deciding to come for MS in Music Technology at Georgia Tech.
