Avinash Sastry is a EEE graduate from the National Institute of Technology, Surathkal, India. After working for a year at NXP Semiconductors, Bangalore, he made his way to the Music Technology programme at Georgia Tech in Fall 09. He has now forgotten everything he once knew about induction motors and power transmission, and instead works on creative music models. His research interests are centered around Music Information Retrieval (MIR), digital signal processing and machine learning, though you may find some traces of experimental music and web design around the edges.
