Aaron Albin graduated from the University of Virginia with a BS in Electrical Engineering along with a second major in Media Studies. At the GTCMT his research endeavors include music information retrieval, with focus on musical memory through time series prediction neural networks, statistical language modeling for music, source separation for improvements in feature extraction. Additionally, he has contributed to Urban Remix, and worked on other creative projects including Beatscape, a piece performed in the 2010 Listening Machines concert which explored ensemble virtuosity through a combined physical and virtual interface. His current interests include explorations in the Processing programming language, as well as creating new musical interfaces and instruments. Website
